Refunds, returns, guarantees and warrantees
Before you buy anything from an online golf store, check to make sure they have an acceptable returns policy and guarantee.
Ideally, look for some kind of unconditional guarantee, where you can return the goods purchased and get your money back (or the equivalent in store credit).
With such a returns policy, you can feel happier about buying equipment online - if it doesn't feel right, you can always send it back to the store.
Shipping costs and other transport fees (e.g. custom duties if ordering internationally) aren't usually included in such guarantees. And watch out for small print - some products may be exempt, a "restocking fee" may be charged, or you may have to follow a specific course of action to claim a refund.
In particular, such unconditional guarantees usually expire after 30 days or so - so don't wait around!
On top of this guarantee, look for a longer warranty on the clubs, in case of defects or other problems. Look for 12 months or more if buying factory-direct.
